Like all Telehealth Specialist providers, Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) Victoria has been significantly impacted by the changes to Medicare item numbers for consults with rural patients.
We remain dedicated to ensuring that great health care is accessible to all people, no matter where they live.
As such, RFDS Victoria has decided that there will be no change to our existing process.
We will absorb all costs up to 30 June 2022 to ensure that clients can continue to receive the specialist care they need at no cost and our team of specialists are able to continue consults for rural clients.
Throughout this time we will continue to work through all possible options to ensure that Telehealth Specialist services can remain accessible to all rural and remote clients.
