Paediatrics

What is it?

Paediatric Telehealth provides access to online telehealth appointments with a Paediatrician. The services see patients aged 17 years or under for reasons such as developmental concerns, growth concerns, neonatal follow up or general health issues.

Patients are supported by an appointment facilitator such as a community nurse or practice nurse. A parent or legal guardian of the child must also be present during the telehealth appointment.

Who does it?

The Royal Flying Doctor Service Victoria partners with Paediatrician Dr Brian Timms. Dr Timms is a generalist paediatrician with over 30 years’ experience, with extensive training in neonatology. He is able to see patients for general paediatrics, developmental paediatrics including autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, behavioural issues and adolescent issues.
